We are pleased to share the outcomes of this year’s Clothing Distribution Project. This initiative, inspired by the Savior’s call to care for one another, brought together our community to make a tangible difference.

Over the weekend of the distribution, we were able to provide clothing, coats, boots, and other essential items to over 2,666 individuals through the generous gift of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which supplied 20,000 pounds of clothing at no cost. Lansing was one of 15 locations in Michigan that hosted similar events, demonstrating our collective commitment to serving those in need.

In partnership with local organizations such as the Lansing School District, St. Vincent Catholic Charities, Cristo Rey, Cardboard Prophets, and Helping Hands, our Communication Council distributed more than 4,400 vouchers, ensuring that those who needed it most could participate. At the end of the project, remaining items were donated to local schools and partners to extend the reach of our efforts.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to The Salvation Army for providing a distribution center, which allowed us to serve even more families. We are thankful to the Lansing Stake Relief Society, Communication Council, hundreds of dedicated volunteers, and especially the many youth who spent hours sorting and preparing for this event.
